The first
settlements in the Vltava basin were in the Early Stone Age. Upon the
arrival of Slavs in the 7th century. Later , Jews took up their residence
in this area too. In 1348, the first Central European university is
founded by Charles IV. to promote culture and education. In 1357 than he
